For Boise engagement photographers like us, there’s nothing quite like the last hour of sunlight over the foothills in Boise. The landscape in Idaho has endless opportunities for beautiful engagement photos, and this spring evening with Larry and Ashley was no exception!
We met Larry and Ashley at the Military Reserve, a perfect location for engagement photos in Boise. With beautiful trails to walk and stunning views of downtown Boise, the Military Reserve is an engagement photographer’s dream! During Larry and Ashley’s spring engagement photos, the foothills were blooming with wildflowers.
For couples getting married, we always recommend having an engagement photo session! As wedding photographers, we have the opportunity to walk with couples through unique seasons of life, and the time that you’re engaged is one of those sweet seasons! We love how engagement photos capture the anticipation of what’s to come. Our favorite kind of engagement photos are the ones that tell a story about who a couple is together, the kind of photos their kids and grandkids will look back on and see how they were together before they were married.

During this Boise engagement photo session, Larry and Ashley wanted to capture the beginning of their Boise date night. They love hiking, camping, and being in nature, so we explored the Boise foothills together for their engagement photos. After their session they went downtown Boise for a date night together.
We’re photographing Larry and Ashley’s wedding later this year in McCall, and it was so fun to spend some time with them before their wedding! As wedding photographers, we always recommend engagement photos so couples have the chance to spend time with us before their wedding day!

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. I love capturing the interactions between the bride and her tribe as they get ready together, the look on a groom’s face when he FINALLY sees his bride for the first time, and the way a dad wraps his arms around his baby girl on her wedding day. Bride and groom portraits make my heart jump and I cry on almost every wedding day.
