Sometimes the subtle things are the best things: the way he brushes her hair away from her face as he leans in for a kiss, how she looks down as she laughs, the wind blowing just enough that her hair breezes over her shoulder.
We met Shelby & Gaige downtown along the Chicago Riverwalk to capture some engagement photos on the perfect spring evening. Seeing them through the lens was like peeking into their everyday together. Small moments juxtaposed with iconic views left us speechless as we clicked through image after image.
Ending their session at North Avenue Beach as the sun set and the city lights sparkled, they told us about their recent wedding plans as they prepare to welcome family and friends into town in just a couple months to watch them commit to a lifetime of lazy nights at home with their pup and supporting each other's dreams in big and small ways.
Shelby and Gaige, we had so much fun finding quiet, still corners in a big city with you. Thanks for hanging out and letting us capture this sweet season of being engaged. Love and hugs, Becky & Kaleb.
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. I love capturing the interactions between the bride and her tribe as they get ready together, the look on a groom’s face when he FINALLY sees his bride for the first time, and the way a dad wraps his arms around his baby girl on her wedding day. Bride and groom portraits make my heart jump and I cry on almost every wedding day.
