During the stressful months of wedding planning (usually the first couple and the last couple), someone gave us the solid advice to schedule a date night once a week. The dates didn’t have to be extravagant. We didn’t have to spend a ton of money. We just had to plan something to do together that had NOTHING to do with our wedding. Wedding talk wasn’t allowed.
We LOVED those date nights so we’re challenging you to do the same!
If you find yourself in a season where the stress of wedding planning is building…maybe you’re trying to find and buy a house or maybe your calendar is starting to fill up with showers and tastings or you’re getting busier at work…the list goes on…
Take the date night challenge.
Sit down and schedule out a month of dates. Block them out on your calendar, protecting that time together. ENJOY some wedding-free time with the person who makes you feel the most comfortable, the most at home, and the most relaxed.
Let us know how it goes. We’re sure it’ll change your upcoming weeks for the better!
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. I love capturing the interactions between the bride and her tribe as they get ready together, the look on a groom’s face when he FINALLY sees his bride for the first time, and the way a dad wraps his arms around his baby girl on her wedding day. Bride and groom portraits make my heart jump and I cry on almost every wedding day.
